Soda Spoon Marketing proposes to build and host a dedicated marketing landing page for CBI Security and run a steady content and search program behind it for one monthly retainer, so that CBI is the first security company found, and the first one recommended by AI assistants, when businesses in Utah, Idaho and Arizona look for guards, patrols and executive protection.
CBI already has what most competitors lack: three state operations, a Salt Lake City company history that goes back to 1994, what its own site calls the largest patrol division in Utah, and licensed EMTs working as security officers. The website does not yet make those strengths easy to find, easy to trust, or easy to quote.
The program has four parts, delivered together:
- Dedicated landing page and hosting: a new, fast marketing landing page, built to turn searches into calls and assessment requests and hosted by us, while CBI's IT team keeps managing the main site.
- SEO, AEO and GEO: search optimization for Google, plus answer-engine and generative-engine optimization so CBI is cited by ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Gemini.
- Weekly blog posts: one published post every week, written for the buyers CBI wants and reviewed by CBI before it goes live.
- Weekly social media posts: one post every week, adapted for Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram.
Everything is a monthly retainer, with no setup fee and no rebuild charge. A 12-month agreement is $2,995 a month, and month to month is $3,495 a month.
What we found on cbisecurity.com today
The site is credible but dated, and its content has not been kept up. We reviewed the homepage, the services overview, the Utah operation page and the blog on October 22, 2026. These are the findings that shape the plan.
| Area | What we saw | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Platform | WordPress on the Bridge theme, with a footer that still reads "Copyright © 2025." | An older theme slows pages and limits layout, schema and mobile quality. |
| Titles and previews | The homepage title names Utah and Arizona but not Idaho. Every page we checked shares one generic social preview title and description. | Idaho searches get no signal, and shared links look identical. |
| Click-to-call | The footer shows 801-363-2604, 602-788-2241 and 208-912-1005, but the links behind them dial 801-335-5605, 602-714-9891 and 208-576-6236. | Calls from phones may be going to old or wrong lines. CBI should confirm which is right. |
| Accessibility | The page viewport disables pinch-to-zoom. | It hurts low-vision visitors and is a common audit flag. |
| Blog | The last post is dated February 9, 2026. Most posts sit in "Uncategorized," have no comments, and several react to national news rather than answer a buyer's question. | Search and AI tools reward a steady, well-organized library on buyer topics. |
| Location content | The Utah page lists four regions as bullets, contains the typo "Ogen Area," and says "over 20 years" for a company that began in 1994. | There are no city-level pages and the history is understated. |
| Services | Eleven services each get a short card and a page. There is no pricing guidance, no industry pages and no per-service FAQ. | Buyers asking "how much does a security guard cost" or "do I need armed security" land elsewhere. |
| Proof | Six testimonials, one with a full name. The "largest patrol division in Utah" claim has no number behind it. | Specific proof is what both buyers and AI tools quote. |
| Hiring | A hiring pop-up and a careers section are prominent. | Recruiting is a second conversion goal and is not yet set up for job search. |
There is also a solid base to build on. The site has the Google Tag Manager container installed, a services structure that already covers armed, unarmed, patrol, executive protection, EMT and construction, and a few strong posts, including Boise demand, Arizona's SB 1618 licensing change, Utah's HB-84 school guardians, and "Do You Need An Armed Guard?"
Goals
The program is built around four outcomes. We set baselines in the first 30 days and report against them every month.
- More qualified inquiries. Grow calls and form submissions from businesses, property managers, contractors, event organizers and executives in all three states, tracked by service and by state.
- Be found and be cited. Rank for the searches that lead to a contract, and appear in AI-generated answers about security guards, patrols and executive protection in Utah, Idaho and Arizona.
- Prove it. Turn CBI's history, patrol scale, EMT capability and client results into specific, quotable proof on the site.
- Support hiring. Make it easier for licensed and entry-level officers to find CBI's open roles, since staffing limits how much work CBI can take on.
Scope A: dedicated landing page and hosting
CBI's main website stays where it is, with CBI's IT team managing its hosting. We add a new, dedicated marketing landing page whose only job is to turn searches into calls and free security assessment requests. We design it, build it, host it and maintain it inside the monthly retainer, with no one-time build fee.
What we build
- One conversion-focused landing page on its own address, such as a CBI subdomain, in CBI's brand, built for fast mobile loading and WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility.
- A clear structure: what CBI does (armed and unarmed officers, mobile patrol, executive protection, EMT-trained officers, construction and corporate security), where it serves in Utah, Idaho and Arizona, proof (in business since 1994, patrol scale, testimonials, client logos with permission) and a "Get your free security assessment" form.
- Click-to-call numbers for Utah, Arizona and Idaho with call tracking, so we can show which searches and posts produce calls. CBI confirms the correct numbers first, because the main site's phone links dial different numbers than the ones displayed.
- Search and AI readiness built in: unique title and description, Organization, LocalBusiness, Service and FAQ schema, a short direct answer at the top of each section, and an
llms.txtfile. - A short FAQ on armed versus unarmed guards, what drives cost, licensing and response times, written with CBI's input.
Hosting and care (included)
- Managed hosting for the landing page, with a content delivery network, SSL, a web application firewall and daily off-site backups.
- Updates, uptime monitoring, malware scanning and a monthly speed and security check.
- Up to two hours a month of small edits, such as a changed phone number or a new officer photo.
- CBI owns its domain, content and design. If CBI ever leaves, we hand over a complete copy of the landing page within 10 business days.
Ongoing improvements (included)
- Up to two new or substantially upgraded pages each month on the landing site. Priorities: state pages for Utah, Idaho and Arizona, a page for each core service with a short FAQ, industry pages (construction, corporate, healthcare, schools, property management and events), a proof page and a recruiting page.
- Proof added as we go: client logos with permission, testimonials with names and roles, and short case studies.
- Redesigning or rebuilding CBI's main website is not included. We quote it separately if CBI wants one.
How it connects to CBI's main site
- CBI's IT team adds one DNS record so the landing page runs on a CBI subdomain. We send the exact record in week 1. A separate domain is possible, but a subdomain borrows more trust from CBI's existing site.
- The landing page links to the main site for About, Careers and the training portal, and we recommend the main site link back to it from its header and service pages.
- We send CBI's IT a short, ticket-ready list of the fixes we found on the main site: title tags (including Idaho on the homepage), pinch-to-zoom, social preview tags, phone links, the footer year, the "Ogen" typo and schema. CBI's IT decides when to make them. We cannot edit the main site unless CBI gives us access.
A subdomain is treated partly separately by search engines, so the landing page builds its own results over time, and fixes on the main site help both. We do not change the main site or the training portal at training.cbisecurity.com unless CBI asks us to.
Scope B: SEO, AEO and GEO
Three disciplines, one program. SEO earns rankings in Google. AEO (answer engine optimization) gets CBI's answers chosen as the short, direct answer in featured snippets, voice results and AI Overviews. GEO (generative engine optimization) makes CBI a named, cited source in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Copilot when someone asks who to hire.
Security is a high-trust, high-value purchase, and buyers increasingly ask an assistant first. These tools lean on clear answers, consistent facts across the web and respected third-party mentions, so the work goes beyond the website.
Foundation (months 1 to 2)
- Keyword and question research for each service and state, such as armed vs. unarmed guards, mobile patrol cost, construction site security, event security, and executive protection.
- Competitor and AI-visibility baseline: where CBI and its main Utah, Idaho and Arizona competitors appear, and which sources AI tools cite, across a fixed set of 50 to 75 buyer questions we test monthly.
- Google Business Profile setup or cleanup for each office (Salt Lake City, Peoria and Boise), with consistent name, address and phone details across directories.
- Tracking: GA4, Search Console, call tracking and conversion events, built on the Tag Manager container already on the site.
Ongoing (every month)
- Technical SEO: crawl health, speed, schema and indexing checks, with fixes made on the landing site we host, and ticket-ready recommendations sent to CBI's IT for the main site.
- On-page SEO: refreshing titles, headings, internal links and copy on service, state and industry pages based on what the data shows.
- Local SEO: Google Business Profile posts, photos, Q&A and review replies, plus a steady process for gathering reviews from clients.
- AEO: a clear 40 to 60 word answer at the top of key pages and posts, question-style headings, and FAQ markup, so assistants can lift CBI's answer directly.
-
GEO: an
llms.txtfile and clean, crawlable content, entity consistency across the web, and a brand fact sheet that states CBI's founding year, states served, services, licensing and patrol scale in one place. - Authority building: listings and mentions in Utah, Idaho and Arizona business directories, chambers of commerce, security-industry sources and local news, and outreach for relevant citations. We do not buy links.
- AI visibility tracking: the monthly test set above, reported as how often CBI is named, cited or recommended, compared with the baseline.
No one can promise a ranking or a specific AI mention, and we do not. We commit to the work, the reporting and the targets in the KPI section, and we adjust each month based on results.
Scope C: weekly blog posts
We publish one post every week, 52 a year, each 900 to 1,400 words, written to answer a question a buyer or a job seeker actually asks. CBI's last post is from February 2026, so a steady weekly rhythm alone is a large change.
What each post includes
- A direct answer in the first 50 words, question-style headings and an FAQ block, so the post can rank and also be quoted by AI assistants.
- Accurate, sourced facts. Anything about state licensing or law is checked against the state source, and CBI reviews it before publishing.
- A named author with a short bio, a featured image, internal links to the relevant service and state pages, and a clear call to action.
- Proper categories (Utah, Idaho, Arizona, Industry guides, Hiring), replacing "Uncategorized."
How we choose topics
We plan a quarterly calendar of 13 topics, built from keyword research, sales questions and the AI question set. The mix is roughly:
| Content type | Share | Example topics |
|---|---|---|
| Buyer guides and cost | 35% | How much does a security guard cost in Utah? Armed or unarmed: which does your site need? |
| Industry and site security | 25% | Construction site theft prevention, lobby security, event security checklists |
| Local and legal explainers | 20% | Arizona SB 1618, Utah HB-84 school guardians, Idaho licensing, written for business owners |
| Proof and company | 10% | Case studies, patrol coverage, EMT-trained officers, community service |
| Hiring and careers | 10% | What a day on patrol looks like, how to become a licensed officer |
We avoid posts that react to national incidents unless CBI can add a clear, useful lesson for its own clients.
Workflow
- We deliver the topic calendar for approval each quarter.
- A draft reaches CBI at least five business days before its publish date, and CBI has three business days to comment.
- We publish on the agreed weekday, on CBI's existing blog if CBI's IT gives us an editor login, or otherwise in a resources section on the landing site. Every new post is shared on social media and submitted for indexing.
- Every six months we refresh the best-performing older posts and merge or redirect weak ones.
We ask for about 15 minutes a month from a CBI subject-matter expert, so posts can carry a short, real quote from someone on the team.
Scope D: weekly social media posts
We publish one post every week, 52 a year, adapted for the three channels CBI already uses: Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram. Each weekly post is written once and tailored to each channel's format, so CBI shows up consistently without adding noise.
What is included
- A weekly post with a custom graphic or photo from CBI's own library, plus a caption and hashtags for each channel.
- A monthly content plan that ties each post to the blog, a service, a hiring need or a community moment.
- Scheduling and publishing, and a once-a-week check for comments and messages, which we route to CBI. We do not reply to customers or candidates on CBI's behalf without approval.
- Profile cleanup: consistent name, description, links and call-to-action buttons on all three channels.
Content mix
| Theme | Share | What it looks like |
|---|---|---|
| Blog and expertise | 30% | A tip or statistic from the week's post, linked to the full article |
| Services and proof | 25% | A patrol, EMT or executive protection capability, a client result with permission |
| Hiring | 25% | Open roles, training academy highlights, officer stories |
| People and community | 20% | Officer recognition, community service, company milestones |
LinkedIn leans toward business buyers and recruiting, Facebook toward local reach and hiring, and Instagram toward people and visual stories. We never post a client's location, schedule or security details, and we confirm that rule with CBI before the first post.
CBI sends us photos and short updates when it has them, and we supply stock or designed graphics when it does not. Paid social promotion is not included in this proposal and can be added as a separate scope.

We plan to put the landing page live in week 6 and to start weekly posting in week 3, so new content is ready at launch.

Monthly SEO and AEO Page upgrades Quarterly reviews |
Go-live check before launch: speed, tracking and forms verified. Every week from week 3: one blog post and one social post.
The page goes live only after the check is passed. Weeks count from the day we receive signed paperwork and account access, and move by the same number of days as any approval that runs late.

Reporting and KPIs
CBI receives one clear report each month and a review call every quarter. We commit to the delivery numbers below from day one, and we set the outcome targets together after the first 30 days, once we have a real baseline.

| Social posts published | Scheduler | 1 per week, 52 per year |
| Site uptime | Monitoring | 99.9% or better |
| Mobile page speed and accessibility | Lighthouse, WCAG audit | Pass Core Web Vitals and WCAG 2.2 AA on the landing page at launch |
| Calls and form leads, by state and service | Call tracking, GA4 | Baseline in month 1, target set at day 30 |

The monthly report covers what we did, what moved, what we learned and what we will do next, in plain language. We share a live dashboard so CBI can check the numbers at any time.
Terms and assumptions
- Pricing options: month to month at $3,495 a month, or a 12-month agreement at $2,995 a month. CBI picks one when signing.
- Month to month: either party can cancel with 30 days' written notice. We can change the rate with 60 days' written notice.
- 12-month agreement: the rate is locked for 12 months. After that, it continues month to month at the same rate until either party gives 30 days' written notice, and we will not raise it without 60 days' notice.
- Ending a 12-month agreement early: CBI gives 30 days' written notice and pays the $500 monthly difference between the two rates for the months already served. No other fees apply.
- Ownership: CBI owns its domain, content, brand assets and the final design. We keep our own tools and templates. If CBI leaves, we hand over a complete copy of the landing page within 10 business days.
- Access: CBI provides Google Analytics, Search Console, Tag Manager, Business Profile and social account access in the first week, and its IT team adds one DNS record within five business days of our request.
- Approvals: CBI names one decision maker. Reviews take no longer than three business days, and delays move our dates by the same amount.
- Content from CBI: photos, licensing language, client approvals and subject-matter input. We use the facts CBI confirms and do not publish legal or licensing claims that CBI has not verified.
- Site work: the retainer includes the landing page build, its hosting and up to two new or substantially upgraded pages a month on the landing site. Work on CBI's main website, a redesign, extra pages or services outside this proposal are quoted in writing before work starts.
- Results: search and AI visibility depend on factors we do not control, including competitor activity and search engine and AI platform changes. We do not guarantee rankings, citations or lead volume.
- Confidentiality: we treat all CBI information as confidential and never publish client names, locations or security details without written permission.
Next steps and acceptance
- CBI reviews this proposal and chooses month to month or a 12-month agreement.
- We hold a 45-minute kickoff call to confirm services, industries and cities to prioritize, and to settle the phone-number question.
- CBI signs and returns the agreement, and the first monthly invoice follows.
- We collect access and send CBI's IT the DNS record in week 1, and start the baseline audit.
To accept, circle one pricing option below and sign. This proposal is valid for 30 days from the date above.
Pricing option: month to month at $3,495 a month, or 12-month agreement at $2,995 a month.
